In 2000, we designed a set of software, called “membrane structure computer assistant design and operation system MSD”, which is the major scientific and technological project in Shanghai (with the item No. 005115019). This software is the first membrane structure design software appraised by the authority, which, with the independent intelligent property right and commercial standard, is the leading top level of membrane structure design software in the nationwide. The software has been successfully applied to the hundreds of membrane structure project completed by our company, and has obtained widely usage and high praise by other membrane structure companies who purchased the software.
The software research and development team, led by Associate Professor Mr. Wang Jianzhong, the General Manager of SHANGHAI TAILORBIRD MEMBRANE STRUCTURE CO., LTD, consists of one Post-doctor, three Doctors, six Masters and one Bachelor talents. It is applied to stretching and tensioning membrane structure with optional boundary type and to frame supported membrane structure, which is assisted with independently developed friendly CAD people-computer interactive interface. MSD software is successfully applied in the practical usage of more than 20 membrane structure projects.
